The Story Behind the PD-1888: A Watch Designed Together

Some watches are designed behind closed doors.
The PD-1888 wasn’t.

From the very beginning, this project had a clear purpose: to create a true homage to an iconic timepiece—but to do it together with the people who wear our watches every day.

When we asked our community what kind of homage they wanted to see next, the answer was loud and clear. The Sky-Dweller stood out. Not because it was easy, but because it was ambitious. Complex. And worth the challenge.

When the Community Chooses the Direction

The idea didn’t start with sketches or technical drawings. It started with conversations.

Through Instagram polls, comments, and direct feedback, our community helped guide the direction of the PD-1888. Dial colors, bracelet styles, design preferences—every detail was shaped through collective input.

This wasn’t about following trends. It was about listening.
And once the choice was made, we committed fully to bringing that vision to life.

A Technical Challenge We Refused to Simplify

The Sky-Dweller is known for its complexity, particularly its signature dual-bezel system and inner sub-dial. Many homage watches on the market reference this design visually—but stop there.

We didn’t want a decorative imitation.

Despite the technical difficulty, we made the decision early on: the inner sub-dial had to be fully functional. No static elements. No shortcuts.

It took time, testing, and refinement—but we achieved what many consider impossible at this level. The PD-1888 doesn’t just look the part. It performs as it should.

Because homage, to us, means respect for the original—and respect for the wearer.

Limited by Design, Defined by Demand

Once the PD-1888 took its final form, we knew it had to remain special.

That’s why we limited production to 1,000 individually numbered units worldwide. No restocks. No second runs. Just one exclusive release.

What happened next exceeded our expectations.

The response was immediate. The limited run sold through quickly, confirming what we already felt—this wasn’t just another watch. It was a shared achievement.
